The
Terra-Clean shockwave fracturing system creates an instantaneous
low-pressure zone, which acts as a vacuum for gaseous
and liquid phase contaminates. The Terra-Clean shockwave-fracturing
method creates paths of least resistance to channel the
contaminate and a vacuum space into which these contaminates
can flow. Once these paths of least resistance and vacuum
space are created, Remediation Specialists can use almost
all known methods, including free-product, vapor recovery
and various biological remediation strategies to remediate
the contaminates in the soil.
The
Terra-Clean Service enhances known methods of remediation
by insuring that the contaminated site is treated and
remediated more homogeneously than any known method. This
even, homogeneous shockwave fracturing breaks up the soil
along its organically predrawn breaking lines and makes
the soil permeable, deeply aerated and more open to both
gas and liquid flow and thus remediation.
The
probes are inserted approximatly 12" into the ground
surface. Compressed air is forced down through the probes
creating fractures in the soil.
Once
these paths of least resistance are created, Remediation
Specialists can use almost all known methods to remediate
the contaminates in the soil.
Benefits
of Pneumatic Fracturing:
Terra-Cleans
pneumatic fracturing technology offers the following benefits:
Creates passages in the soil into which contaminates
can flow for remediation
Creates degradation areas where the contaminates can biodegrade.
Speeds up natural and enhanced bioremediation capabilities
within the soil.
Increases air-flow and effectiveness of vapor recovery
systems.
Creates a vacuum effect within the soil by creating low
pressure zones into which the natural soil pressure forces
the contaminates.
